Cooper Discoverer Sure Trac (S/T) - Driver Report
As a professional tour operator and 4WD Instructor I get to travel a lot, over every imaginable road surface you could find. In the past year I have been using Cooper ST tyres on my Turbo Diesel Landcruiser and have clocked up 65,000 kilometres thus far. During that time I've crossed the Simpson Desert, driven the Oodnadatta Track and Birdsville Track, followed Len Beadell's famous Anne Beadell, Connie Sue and Abandoned Gunbarrel highways, climbed the mountains in Victoria's High Country, explored the gnarly and shaly tracks of the magnificent Flinders Ranges and spent all the rest of my time driving the various four wheel drive tracks spread along the east coast of Australia. The Cooper ST's have been amazing, there is no other word for them, in all that time they suffered just one pin hole from a mulga stick which was easily repaired, dragged me through thick mud, over Sturt's Stony Desert, across the vast sand dunes of the Simpson, not to mention the ultra soft Stockton Beach dunes and through ice and snow in the mountains. Whilst in between these numerous forays into outback Australia the Cooper ST's have tracked safely and surely on the black top, often with my fully loaded Landcruiser tipping the scales close to 3.5 ton. I've been travelling the outback for over 25 years now and can unashamedly report that I have never had such magnificent performance from a tyre. If the Cooper ST can take this kind of punishment from me just imagine
how good it will perform for you. |
